The Senior Technician Power Plant program is designed to teach the student to operate and maintain power and heating plants of unlimited size.

Students will receive education and training that will aid them in preparing for the City of Detroit First Class Stationary Engineers Examination. Completion of this course prepares the student to begin a career in building operations and maintenance that require at least a first class steam engineer operator’s license.

PREREQUISITES
City of Detroit second class stationary engineering license or Power Plant Junior Tech. Program or accepted experience must be recognized by city, state or federal government. Students must be working in the field to be eligible to take this course.
