The Refrigeration Technician I course is designed to train the student to operate and maintain refrigeration plants having refrigerating systems the largest of which contains not more than five hundred (500) pounds of refrigerant or is driven by motors or engines of not in excess of one hundred twenty five (125) horsepower.
Hands-on experience is gained through VIM’s internship program and field trips.
Students will receive education and training that will aid them in preparing for the Third Class Refrigeration Operator Examination. Completion of this course prepares the student to begin a career in building operations and maintenance that require at least a third class refrigeration operator’s license.
