The HVAC Technician I program is designed to teach the student to perform work within the classification of a journeyman having an unlimited heating and cooling license to operate a refrigeration system unlimited in size. At the completion of this program students will not receive a journeyman’s card. Completion of this course prepares the student to begin a career in building operations and maintenance that require unlimited journeymen knowledge.

Students will receive education and training that will aid them in preparing for the Low Pressure Boiler Operator Examination. Completion of this course prepares the student to begin a career in building operations and maintenance that require at least a low pressure boiler operator’s license.

PREREQUISITES
Heating Plant Technician I, Power Plant Technician I, and Refrigeration Technician I. Students must be working in the field to be eligible to take this course.
